It was worth the wait. Westfalia Separator introduces its new D-type separators. Design, construction and manufacture of this wide-ranging series had a clearly defined goal: a leaner and more compact construction giving higher performance. The dramatically reduced life-cycle costs and increased safety and efficiency make the D-Type separators even more attractive. The time was ripe for the next development step in mechanical separation technology: more separation for your money.

With the new GCP-30 series load sharing device from Woodward Industrial Controls a new technology has been introduced. Case Marine & Industrial developed the opportunity to use the main engine shaft generator of a large factory trawler to act as the main utility and the auxiliary generator units as the backup power to share electrical load. This reduced the need for replacing the generators with a larger capacity units and also reduced fuel consumption as the full energy capacity of main generator can be used. With the digital technology of the GCP 30 Series units allows automatic load sharing, synchronizing and breaker closure with a touch of a button.
